Position Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Portfolio Analyst to join our investment team.
The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years’ experience in financial services and a strong understanding of portfolio management, customized investment solutions, and taxable investment strategies. This role will work closely with the CIO, advisors, and clients to design, implement, and monitor customized investment portfolios that align with each client's financial objectives, tax situation, and long-term goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement customized investment portfolios tailored to individual client objectives, risk tolerance, and tax circumstances.
- Execute trades and rebalance portfolios while maintaining adherence to investment guidelines and client mandates.
- Develop tax-efficient investment strategies, including tax-loss harvesting, gain realization management, and ongoing tax optimization.
- Optimize asset location across taxable and tax-advantaged accounts to improve after-tax investment outcomes.
- Monitor portfolio performance, risk exposures, and asset allocation, making recommendations for adjustments as market conditions or client needs evolve.
- Conduct investment research and support the evaluation of alternative investment solutions.
- Collaborate with Financial Advisors and Chief Investment Officer to develop comprehensive client investment solutions.
- Ensure trading and portfolio management activities comply with regulatory requirements and firm policies.
Qualifications & Skills
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field.
- FINRA 7 & 66 licenses.
- 3+ years of experience in portfolio management, investment operations, trading, wealth management, or a related financial services role.
- Experience designing and managing customized investment portfolios.
- Experience executing trades across multiple client portfolios.
- Strong understanding of asset allocation, portfolio construction, and investment risk management.
- Knowledge of tax-efficient investing, including tax-loss harvesting and capital gains management.
- Experience implementing asset location strategies across taxable and retirement accounts.
- Proficiency with portfolio management and trading systems, as well as Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Preferred
MBA or other advanced degree in Business, Finance, or a related discipline.
Experience working with high-net-worth or ultra-high-net-worth clients.
