Gavin McGovern joined the firm in June 2026 as a Private Wealth Paraplanner. In this role, he supports our advisory team through financial planning analysis, client service initiatives, research, and operational projects designed to deliver a high-quality experience for the individuals and families we serve.
Gavin’s path to MPW began well before his official start date. He first joined the firm as a Strategic Initiative Intern in the fall of 2024, where he played a key role supporting the firm’s transition of our client base to LPL Financial. In the spring of 2025, he interned at Northstar Financial Companies, Inc. as an Assistant to Planners and to Paraplanners where he was primarily responsible for conducting research on capital markets that advisors used to evaluate and implement strategies in client accounts. Gavin then made his return to MPW in the summer of 2025 as a Wealth Management Intern, a role that he remained in until he joined the firm full-time.
A recent graduate of Saint Joseph’s University, Gavin graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Finance and a minor in Economics. During his time at SJU, he was inducted into Beta Gamma Sigma, Alpha Alpha Alpha, and Omicron Delta Epsilon honors societies. Gavin was active in leadership and service, most notably his work with the Casey Doolin Memorial Foundation, which benefits families with children undergoing treatment at The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. In his time as the Co-Chair of the Foundation for his business fraternity, Delta Sigma Pi, Gavin and his partner organized a Topgolf fundraiser, a 5K run, and the fraternity’s first annual day of service.
Gavin lives in Pennsauken, NJ, with his parents, younger sister, and their dog, Cali. Outside of work, he enjoys working out, travel, spending time at the Jersey Shore, and hanging out with friends and family.
